1. Account Linking & Data Usage
By choosing to link your bank account through Plaid, you authorize our platform to display your linked account details (such as account name or last few digits) for your convenience. We do not store any of your bank account numbers or credentials on our servers—Plaid handles and transmits this sensitive data securely. We only retain relevant metadata (e.g., account nickname, last 4 digits) that you explicitly allow us to display.

2. No Storage of Sensitive Information
We do not collect, store, or retain your full bank account or routing numbers. This information (e.g. last 4 digits)) is accessed only for the purpose of facilitating the account linking feature.

3. Data Storage & Security Practices

We comply with Plaid’s Developer Policy by not storing or selling end-user financial data beyond what’s necessary to provide the service. We also ensure that any minimal metadata we retain (e.g., to associate a bank account with your profile) is stored securely and handled in accordance with industry-standard security and privacy practices. 

4. Plaid's Role & Privacy

Plaid acts as a secure intermediary that connects your financial institution with our platform. You may see Plaid’s branding during the account linking process and can review Plaid’s Privacy Policy to understand how they handle your data. 

5. Your Rights & Consent
You have the right to revoke your consent to share your bank account information through Plaid at any time. You may manage or disconnect linked accounts by following the instructions available within our platform or in Plaid’s own user controls
